About me

I am a UKCP registered and fully EMDR qualified psychotherapist. Originally from Germany, I have lived in London for more than 15 years, with prior experience living in the US and Berlin. I hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and am also a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique (ATI)>.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in academic and applied research, including at the Anna Freud Centre. My academic background informs my practice with a stance of curiosity and a critical appreciation of the evidence on effective therapy. A turning point in my journey was discovering the Alexander Technique, which introduced me to embodied and non-verbal ways of understanding experience. This led me to train as an integrative psychotherapist at the Metanoia Institute in London. I have also worked in the NHS, including with South London and Maudsley Talking Therapies.
